  I love this place. My daughter loves to select crowns there. I always do the high tea-the sandwiches are delicious. Staff are always nice. However, I am disappointed with the canned peaches and cool whip-I think real whip should be used. Additionally, today I went in and there were 2 desserts not consistent with the usual deliciousness. One was supposed to be lemon mousse but it had no lemon taste, it only tasted like cool whip, topped with plain cool whip. The other was (I'm pretty sure) a store bought mini cinnamon roll. The lemon bar was good but it seemed to be a package mix. If that's the case Ill just order sandwiches in the future.
  The menu states:
   "Rose Tea: fruit scone served with clotted cream and jam, selection of seasonal fruit, a trio of sandwiches and savory, with a trio of desserts served on a beautiful three tiered tray." $17.50.
  It has not exactly been what I've received in my last few visits.  Instead, I paid $20 {if I paid more due to tea and the type of tea that was included was only a select few it needs to be noted on the menu and mentioned by staff} and my first course was the canned peaches|cool whip, followed by a 2 tiered tray with the little sandwiches (egg salad on white, cranberry chicken salad on croissant, and 1 cucumber sandwich) and a bunch of desserts. The fruit scone comes with what looks like regular whipped butter. No seasonal fruit.

  I took my 5 year old granddaughter with me and it was perfect for us! The tea, the scones, the sandwiches were all done well. This isn't high end so don't expect that and the price doesn't reflect that.
  Our server was so sweet and took good care of us at our table. My granddaughter loved the hats and the "jewels" that were waiting for her on the table. She loved the experience! I would take her again.
  The restaurant was very clean as well.

  So, my sweet dear friend (and former college roommate) and my teen share an affinity for tea and sweet girly tea things. When my friend arrived for a spontaneous Thanksgiving visit she requested that we set up high tea for four of us ( including my child's bff), her treat.
  
  O.K.
  
  Reminder/Disclaimer: I'm a  serious coffee person.
  
  I like tea, but I'm kinda clueless. SHE orders tea from Great Britain and subscribes to a tea magazine. She holds teas in her home for 20.
  
  Sheesh.
  
  Let me say, reservations for high tea at the usual places ( downtown) and west side places are booked WAY in advance and have wait lists around the holidays.
  
  Uh oh.
  
  So I found this place on line and emailed and was told they had a few openings. I made a 2pm reservation. Now I read the reviews so I knew it possibly was fraught with peril but nevertheless, we piled in the car in Bethany and drove to Clackamas.
  
  The place was NOT busy, they had our table waiting in the back. The adults chose Earl Grey, my teen chose a rose hibiscus tea ( because it is pink) and the bff chose a mint tea. Her pot had chips in it.
  
  So, the tea itself was lovely. Just the right temp. They give you a  digital timer so it brews for the right length of time.  And the setting was kitchy. They have hats you can borrow. We were entertained that the next table was all hatted including a young gentleman who sported a floppy red hat with panache.The young male server and the lady in charge were very sweet.
  
  The food was sadly mostly a miss at $20/person.   The soup was meh. The warm scones were ok. The  sandwiches were all mayo based ( my kid hates mayo) with dry bread and minimal flavor.  The sweets were kinda odd for tea: pecan pie bars, brownies, and blobs of frosting and nuts rolled in coconut that they called " truffles." Those are NOT truffles. We got a teaspoon of jam for four people that the bff insisted was Smuckers ( they did bring more on request) and some nice lemon curd. There was whipped butter with the scones, not clotted cream.
  
  Sigh.
  
  The good news is we had fun, and my teenaged often surly daughter LOVED it even though she mostly ate only everyone's peaches ( normally she won't touch canned fruit, this was an anomaly I think because it was served so quaintly) and a cucumber round canape.
  
  I would have tea and a scone here again. But not high tea. And not savory foods.
  
  I have been informed we need a tiered plate now to use at home.

  This small little Coffee shop is so cute!! The teas are amazing and you can have an authentic tea experience here you know like the ones you had with your stuffed animals when you were younger but with real tea and sandwiches!! My youngest daughter is a big tea fan, so when we spotted this place next to a business we frequent,we had to pop over for lunch. Reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Every tea lovers dream. Check them out a local staple. They have an excellent birthday party package also.

  So I almost didn't go here because the yelp reviews seems awful! Luckily as I was desperately trying to find a tea place for a tea party a friend suggested this spot. My friend has excellent taste, so even though I was still a little skeptical I decided to give it a go.
  LOVED IT. We had high tea, a couple of the princess Charlottes and I think I had the garden and rose.
  Whatever the cucumber thing was, sooo good. I checked the menu to order more but couldn't figure out if it was on there.
  I like egg salad sandwiches so was totally happy with those and they make their bread home made. Usually I am not a pudding fan, but whatever the pudding was, was good as well. My kids ate the brownies so I didn't get to try, but the sugar cookie was perfect(and I make sugar cookies a few times a year, I'd love their recipe ha), and the nut/shortbread thing was super good I just wish I'd been in a sweets mood to have enjoyed it more.
  We loved the tea so much we bought some to go. My husband said it was the best green tea he has had.
  They really need to redo their menu, their food is fantastic but the menu doesn't entice me at all.
  I'm really happy to have gone here because I really love high tea and don't want to shell out $$$ to take my kid to the Heathman.
  Oh and also when the staff found out it was my daughters birthday tea on our way out the door, she gave her a special gift.
